Finance Team
, to become part of an iconic Cornish business, and to make your mark as
Junior Management Accountant & Finance Assistant.
As a Junior Management Accountant you will support the Company Accountant to prepare financial reports for use by key stakeholders. You will support with the bookkeeping on the hospitality business, including processing purchase invoices, review of pricing through to payments to suppliers and reconciliation of income.
Hours:40 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
Salary:£27,000 per annum
Duties & Responsibilities -Junior Management Accountant
- Support the Company accountant in timely and accurate preparation of key financial reports, including Management Accounts, forecasts, weekly reports and ad hoc reports as required.
- Support the Company Accountant with the period end process.
- Providing timely and accurate daily reports for the hospitality side of the business.
- Preparation of weekly reports, and any other ad hoc reports as requested.
- Investigating and resolving queries as required.
- Processing purchase invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and order sheets in accordance with Financial Policies.
- Processing BACS payments and preparing BACS import files for upload to the online banking platform.
- Reconciliations of daily income across different sites.
- Investigating and resolving queries as required.
- Providing any other support to Finance Team as requested.
- To be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit with a positive, sleeves rolled up mentality.
- Previous finance or accounts experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced team and working under pressure.
- Good experience and skills in Microsoft Excel.
- A keen eye for detail, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Strong mathematical ability
- Works with pace, the urgency to meet all deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills and works well under pressure
- Willing to take on responsibility and learn new skills
- Friendly, approachable and a sense of humour
