Customer Service Rep
Location: Gambrills
Description
Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular, or full‑time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring our guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Team members must act as a representative of Regal in a way consistent with our mission statement and policies, including:
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Handling of emergency situations when called upon to do so
- General cleaning duties
- Compliance with our company dress code
- Operate POS system, ensuring accurate cash drawer, credit card, travellers’ check, gift card, and redeemed discount ticket handling.
- Upsell/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
- Respond to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy.
- Operate POS system, maintaining accurate cash drawer and concession stock inventory.
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Operate, prepare, and clean all concession equipment.
- Upsell/suggestive selling.
- Comply with all local, state and federal food safety laws.
- Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
- Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
- If selling alcohol, the employee must be of legal age and trained per state or local laws.
- Complete required training on sexual harassment and discrimination.
- Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums.
- Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats when necessary.
- Enforce the MPAA rating system.
- Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and maintain a safe environment.
- Report any problems, discrepancies or unusual situations to management.
- Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
- Clean auditoriums at the end of scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways and other areas outside the auditorium.
- Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
- Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.

Education/ExperienceCompletion of the cast certification program and the box office cashier certification, or progress toward completion, is required.

Reasoning AbilityIdentify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate alternatives, and reach conclusions based on evidence. Take action beyond what is necessarily called for and perform under pressure or opposition.

Physical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, sitting, and handling. Occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Required visual acuity includes close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
