Event Manager / Planner, Customer Service Rep
Position Description
- Location: Queen Anne's County, Maryland
- Schedule: Weekend availability is required. Total of 2-3 days per week (15-20 hours).
Attendants are responsible for the collection of fees, opening and closing the pro shop and providing excellent customer service. This position also oversees the cart attendants and play on the golf course. This staff person will also be responsible for answering phone calls, making food and cleaning the pro shop. The attendants must maintain a clean and neat work environment.
Essential Functions- Provides cordial, responsive, and accurate customer service.
- Prepares Pro Shop for daily play by ensuring it is clean and equipped with golf essentials.
- Operates the register for collection of daily fees.
- Keeps track of the number of rounds checked in during the day.
- Answers questions concerning the golf course and related programs.
- Oversees the golf cart attendants.
- Tracks the use of golf carts.
- Makes sure that the buildings and gates are locked at the end of the day.
- Oversees the daily operations in the absence of a manager.
- Performs other duties specific to the golf operations as directed by the pro shop manager.
- Maintains a clean and neat appearance.
- Keeps Golf Course Manager informed of any issues concerning staff, customers, or maintenance.
Must be able to communicate clearly and understand and follow work instructions. This person should be able to process information and make clear decisive decisions.
General knowledge of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Ability to maintain a positive work environment and provide excellent customer service. Must be able to show good common sense and take the initiative to perform work on schedule. Some knowledge of the game of golf is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations- Possession of a Class C Maryland Motor Vehicle Operators License (or the equivalent from another issuing state) or the ability to obtain such a license within thirty (30) days of employment to position.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Physical DemandsMust be able to lift a reasonable amount of weight equal to a five-gallon bucket. Most of the duties are performed inside. Needs to be able to drive a golf cart.

Work EnvironmentWork is performed inside with occasional outside duties. Noise level is usually moderate.
