T2S Solutions has an ongoing opening for a DoD Skill Bridge Fellowship opportunity as a Telecommunication Systems Specialist to support the Army's C5
ISR center Cryptographic Modernization portfolio.
FLSA Status: N/A; (Service member will be a participant in the DoD Skill Bridge program with potential for full-time employment upon program completion)
Compensation: 100-125k (DOE)
Summary
T2S Solutions is seeking to hire a Telecommunication Systems Specialist (Radio) with applicable experience installing, operating, maintaining, deploying, troubleshooting various Program of Record (POR) Government/Tactical and Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) communications equipment. The successful candidate has a high interest and background with multiple variants of currently in-use tactical radios, waveforms, knowledge of their capabilities and, a desire to continuously learn and be a member of a highly motivated team.
They should understand Mission Command Systems, Frequency Modulation Radio Systems, High Frequency Radio, Internet Protocol based radio systems, configurations (man-packable, mounted, dismounted). A successful candidate must be comfortable dealing with requirements changes, lab environments, and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical onsite support for all project products as required
- Provide technical demonstrations and explains project product capabilities to others
- Load/Fill, operate, test, maintain, account for, various tactical / COTS radios in laboratory environment
- Understand Communications Security (COMSEC) principles, procedures, and safeguards
- Develop user and test documentation as well as technical reports and briefings
- Analyze test results to fix bugs or properly portray system performance
- Integrate or emulate within a laboratory environment: signal, local network and automated systems
- Bachelors degree (preferred) or High School diploma and 10 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to work independently/efficiently and to thrive in a fast-paced environment, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Must be able to comfortable and effectively operate and employ a variety of legacy, currently in-use, or future prototype tactical or commercial off the shelf (COTS) radio and equipment
- Experience with developing and documenting test procedures
- Experience with test equipment, diagnostics, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair
- Experience with Radio Retransmission (RETRANS) principles
- and ability to acquire/retain a security clearance
- Prior US Army related training as a Signal Operations Support Specialist (25U) or equivalent Military Service MOS
- Firm understanding of the radio frequency spectrum, transmission security (TRANSEC), and cryptographic communication security (COMSEC) principles and radio applicability
