Technology Transition Systems Engineer (SE5)

Salary: Up to $180K based on education and experience
Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI with FS Poly; CCA Authorized
Location: Columbia, MD

Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s Degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.

Job Description: As Training Center / Lab Support Systems Engineer you will support the operation and maintenance of all hardware and software in compliance with established policies required by the customer for their production and training networks – to include deriving and managing requirements to ensure compatibility with defined architectures and compliance with customer standards; performing market studies; and assisting in developing the system security plan.

• Experience providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution; and providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintaining IT systems. Senior level experience is required as remote support is not authorized.
• Subject Matter Expert in 1 or more SE Process Areas;
  Approve delivery of SE work product, and briefing Stakeholders on all technical aspects of their Project.
• Ability to plan and deliver engineering projects with unique/ complex aspects that impact major capabilities of high priority to the enterprise.
• Ability to independently resolve important engineering issues requiring the use of advanced technology.
• Independently make decisions regarding engineering issues and methodology for a project.
• Brief stakeholders and present the status on all technical aspects of their project.
• Five or more years' experience supporting programs and projects within this customer space.

• Experience in technical program/ project management/ project implementation highly desired.
• Experience in defining an effort from mission outcomes/objectives to key tasks, collaborating with others monitoring and preparing out-reports.
• Experience in writing and/or managing the development of functional requirements and other related SE documentation.
• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in development/ implementation of SE processes and procedures.
• Experience with Confluence / Service Now (SNOW) / JIRA managing Systems Engineering Projects.
• Experience in working in a dynamic changing environment.
• Experience working with multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in interpreting architectural documentation.
• Recent broad SIGINT engineering experience
