Site Civil Engineer-in-Training - Land Development
Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr – $75,000.00/yr

Duties, Responsibilities & Other- Support engineering design for commercial, residential, and institutional land development projects.
- Perform site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion/sediment control calculations.
- Prepare construction documents, plans, and technical specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Assist with local, state, and federal permitting processes (MDE, SHA, county‑level agencies).
- Conduct site visits and prepare field observation and construction administration reports associated with site development.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare project schedules and cost estimates.
- Previous internship or work experience in civil/site design or land development.
- Familiarity with stormwater management and software such as Hydro
CAD or Civil3D. - Exposure to local permitting agencies or review processes in Maryland or the Mid‑Atlantic region.
- 0–2 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- General knowledge of design software (Micro Station, AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically.
Previous internships or work experience in the engineering field.
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to maintain required certifications.
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
- Pre‑employment drug screening and background check as conditions of employment.
