Systems Engineer

Big Bear.ai is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer with knowledge of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). Knowledge of Model Sim, for VHSIC hardware description language (VHDL) or Verilog HDL coding and simulations, and Xilinx tools is required. Beneficial but not required:
Software languages (Java, C, C++, Ruby on Rails) and operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows). This is a great opportunity to support a critical and dynamic mission.

• Leverage hardware engineering skills and knowledge of field programmable gate arrays to support client requirements.

• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SI FSP clearance.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

  Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Other: Experienced hardware engineer with knowledge of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). Knowledge of Model Sim, for VHSIC hardware description language (VHDL) or Verilog HDL coding and simulations, and Xilinx tools.

• Experience in software languages (Java, C, C++, Ruby on Rails) and operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows).
