Position: LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: Patuxent River

Duties Help
* You will act as the single authority on program/project logistics, maintenance planning, and execution for program reviews, contract reviews, briefings, and financial planning.
* You will plan and chair a variety of logistics and maintenance conferences throughout the development, acquisition, and operation and sustainment phases of the life cycle.
* You will participate in the design and development of new systems assessing the supportability and maintainability of proposed systems and technology applications.
* You will determine the best approach in planning and expending resources to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture.
* You will oversee analytical processes that determine supportability requirements and resources necessary to sustain systems and equipment to support the development of innovative support plans.
* You will review and approve any changes to logistics documentation as proposed in Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), along with assessing the impact of changes to Integrating Logistics Support.
* You will recommend approval/disapproval based on the results of trade-off analyses between improved performance, supportability, and additional costs.
* You will provide analysis and develop strategies for systems/sub-systems lifecycle support for Obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) challenges. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition

and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Developing and reviewing program, technical, and mission documentation to also provide authoritative input and direction on all logistics/maintenance issues and requirements; (2) Participating in the design and development of new systems by assessing the supportability and maintainability of proposed systems and technology applications; (3) Recommending feasible design and alternatives to acquisition engineers and managers for systems with poor maintainability features, or which are unsupportable;

(4) Organizing an Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) to provide direction to the element managers on planning and technical factors, reviewing element plans for accomplishment of objectives, balancing capability among logistics elements, and integrating all logistics element plans to form comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support; and (5) Performing cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems as well as supporting/approving major milestones, time schedules, total cost elements, system maintenance engineering inspections and mock-up parameters, and manpower and readiness.
