This position is responsible for preparing geotechnical reports, managing construction materials testing, hosting project meetings with clients, and supervising field work.
Responsibilities- Prepare geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations.
- Manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects, review daily reports, resolve issues, and train field staff.
- Prepare proposals, manage project budgets, and process change orders and invoices.
- Host or attend project meetings with clients to follow up on delivered reports.
- Assist with or perform tasks such as:
- Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances.
- Perform research on local geologic history.
- Supervise field work performed by drilling/test pit crews and address rig access issues.
- Classify soil and assign laboratory testing.
- Mentor and support Staff Project Managers, Assistant Staff Project Managers, and technicians.
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) preferred.
- Professional license required in each state in which you work; if not obtained, “Manager” will be used in the title.
- Valid driver’s license required if driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary.
The expected pay range for this role and location is $90,000 - $120,000/year. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
