Timeline: April 2026 – August 2027 (potential for extension)
The Project Execution team at one of our largest utility clients is executing is installing and commissioning STATCOM equipment to regulate voltage and stabilize energy flow as the project expands an existing substation and builds a net new substation field.
Our Fortun 130 utility client is currently working with a large grid technology vendor for STATCOM installation and build-out. Construction management resources are in place today; however, as the project transitions from installation into execution, the client is looking to add a field-based resource with strong engineering experience and an owner’s representative presence to support engineering oversight and quality execution.
This is a field-based Project Engineer / Construction Manager (Owner’s Rep style) role focused on engineering oversight, QA/QC, and coordination—not hands-on construction. This resource will serve as the Project Execution team’s “eyes and ears” in the field and will partner closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure work is executed safely, correctly, and to standard.
STATCOM (Static Synchronous Compensator) equipment regulates voltage and stabilizes energy flow to support system reliability. This project supports power being brought in from Pennsylvania, and includes expansion of an existing substation as well as installation of STATCOM equipment within a new substation field.
