Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drafter/Designer to join our custom fencing design and installation team. This role combines office-based CAD drafting with field work, including site visits to local client locations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drawing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate client specifications into accurate designs.

Responsibilities

+ Create detailed technical drawings using CAD software for custom fencing designs.

+ Visit client sites to gather measurements and understand project requirements.

+ Collaborate with the installation team to ensure designs are feasible and align with client expectations.

+ Translate client specifications into accurate and precise designs.

+ Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality design output.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and drafting techniques.

+ Strong mathematics skills.

+ Detail-oriented with a focus on precision in design.

+ Experience in metal working and fencing installation is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is a mix of field work and office work. You will visit client sites throughout the DMV area and will have access to a company vehicle for transportation. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to work in diverse settings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Capitol Heights, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
