Primary Purpose Of PositionDemonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of plant specific nuclear licensed operations training programs.
Primary Duties And Accountabilities- Drive the clean energy center (CEC) and personnel performance improvement through training; coordinate and conduct performance‑based operations Reactor Operator (RO)/Non‑Licensed Operator (NLO) training programs as required.
- Ensure training programs are current, incorporating information from INPO reports, Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), NRC Bulletins and Notices, CEC design changes, procedure revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
- Prepare trainee examination and conduct evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments; conduct counseling sessions and recommend/develop individualized training programs.
- Support CEC and fleet in business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
- Participate in NRC, INPO and management audits; prepare responses to audit findings.
- Mine knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high‑quality training.
- Supervise collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
- Perform additional job assignments and duties as directed, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities outside the department.
- High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience (e.g., test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) OR
- Associate’s degree in a technical discipline, education or training with 4 years of related experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or related science, education or training with 2 years of related experience
- Requirements meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
- Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, favorable medical examination and/or testing.
- Experience in commercial nuclear training
- Knowledge of and experience with the systematic approach to training (SAT)
