Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for a Principal Test Engineer or Senior Principal Test Engineer to join the Test Engineering department team based out of Sykesville, MD.

• Troubleshoots and supports Power and Control Systems and Test Sets
• Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment
• Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements
• Analyzes test data and identifies early trends
• Supports technicians through troubleshooting and training
• Supports program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions
• Collaborates with design engineering to develop and implement hardware improvements and solutions
• Has analytical skills to review requirements, test plans, and test scenarios; and can effectively communicate and work with manufacturing, test engineering, and design engineering personnel
• Is self‑directed, organized, team oriented and has previous experience with MS Office tools

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of Electronics or Engineering experience;
  Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM field with a minimum of 3 years of Electronics or Engineering experience. Candidates without an advanced degree would be considered with a minimum of 9 years of Electronics or Engineering experience.
• Experience with a broad range of measuring and monitoring equipment (oscilloscopes, function and waveform generators, power supplies and meters, current sensors and probes, etc.)
• U.S. citizenship
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM field with a minimum of 8 years of Electronics or Engineering experience;
  Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM field with a minimum of 6 years of Electronics or Engineering experience. Candidates without an advanced degree would be considered with a minimum of 12 years of Electronics or Engineering experience.
• Experience with a broad range of measuring and monitoring equipment (oscilloscopes, function and waveform generators, power supplies and meters, current sensors and probes, etc.)
• U.S. citizenship
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.

• Experience with Labview
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience with databases
• Prior Test Engineering specific experience in a military environment
• Prior Test Technician experience working in a lab environment
