Our client, a leading independent power producer, is seeking a skilled professional to join their team at a 230‑megawatt natural gas‑fired combined‑cycle facility in Prince George’s County, MD. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant’s electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems to ensure safe and compliant plant operations.
  • Perform electrical maintenance on equipment exceeding 600 volts and assist with lower voltage systems as needed.
  • Conduct job safety briefings and adhere to safety protocols, including lock‑out tag‑out procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize system performance and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Operate and inspect rigging equipment, and participate in training programs as directed by management.
  • Be available for emergency call‑outs and flexible work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Proficiency in digital control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation for power plants.
  • 2‑Year College/Technical Degree in electronics or instrumentation, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s license with an acceptable MVR history.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions while wearing PPE.
