Position: Mechanical Solar Installer I - Field Services
Location: Grantsville

Position Overview

In this position, you’ll be an essential part of bringing solar energy to life, offering physical and general labor support for solar panel system projects. In addition to solar installations, you’ll also contribute to a variety of mechanical, industrial, and construction projects across multiple industries, including construction, manufacturing, power plants, commercial projects, oil and gas, and wind energy, just to name a few.

This role is perfect for someone with a mechanical background and an eagerness to learn.

You’ll work closely with the team to ensure that projects are completed successfully, and in doing so, you’ll gain hands‑on experience and a deeper understanding of industrial construction practices. Throughout your journey, you'll become more proficient with the high‑quality products and services Beitzel Corporation offers, all while making a real impact in the energy and construction sectors.

The role requires a flexible schedule as it may involve extensive travel, out‑of‑town assignments, and the willingness to work outside of regular hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and sometimes night shifts. What You'll Do
  • Learn to install mechanical and electrical components of a solar energy system
  • Learn to safely work around the electrical wiring of solar array/systems (AC and DC)
  • Learn to run conduit and cables from solar panels to combiner boxes
  • Assist with the layout and construct solar modules/arrays and mounting hardware
  • Learn to mount mechanical and structural racking, modules, and electrical equipment
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

Working Conditions

  • Sit, talk, hear, read, and write
  • Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Can complete repetitive motion tasks daily such as bolt torquing, installing brackets, etc.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Perform duties on‑site and underground at industrial locations
  • Work in extreme temperature conditions and environments
  • Perform work at a variety of heights
What You'll Bring
  • 1–3 years of experience for piles, racking, and/or mods preferred
  • 1+ years of mechanical experience in a residential, commercial, or industrial capacity required
  • Preference given to candidates with previous experience in electrical solar installation and pile driving
  • Possesses a mechanical aptitude with prior experience in solar commercial/industrial mechanical fields preferred
  • Preference given to candidates with previous experience operating Pile Driving Equipment such as a PD-10 or equivalent
