We are hiring for a Senior Construction Manager to support our government customer based in Laurel, MD. This position is required to be onsite.

• Conduct construction inspections to ensure conformance to design specifications and building codes and generate reports.
• Review shop drawings and submittals, providing the COTR with a recommendation for approval or disapproval.
• Notify the Government in writing of non‑compliant safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify completion of corrections and actions identified.
• Attend project meetings.
• Ensure the project scope, cost, duration, schedule, and obligations are maintained.
• Participate in Sponsor‑unique Permit Training and serve as Permit Authorizing Individual.
• Manage project design and/or construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day‑to‑day oversight.
• Manage and evaluate construction contractor performance.
• Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel.
• Evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests.
• Provide official weekly project status reports.
• Prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders.
• Assist the client’s Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution and administration.
• Assist the CO and COTR with conducting pre‑bid and pre‑construction site visits.
• Provide invoice supporting information to the COTR for payment.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets; provide technical guidance on contracting and construction‑related issues; direct design efforts; recommend construction documents for approval; and oversee follow‑on maintenance programs.
• Optimize performance, cost, and schedule by ensuring project objectives are achieved on schedule and at the lowest cost compatible with user requirements.
• Conduct design reviews with the customer.
• Ensure timely input of all data, comments, and documentation into MAXIMO software project management tool.
• Ensure integration of all systems, including information technology, telephone, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Prepare Contractor Performance Report (CPR) upon contract closeout.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in any field; alternatively a high school, vocational, or trade school diploma plus five (5) years’ work experience in a similar field may substitute for a degree.
• Experience:
  
  Ten (10) years of experience in construction management.
• Experience:
  
  Familiarity with building codes and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
• Experience:
  
  Additional specialized requirements may be provided by the client’s designated POC.
• Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required.
• Working environment:
  Must be able to work in an operationally sensitive environment, outdoors, in confined spaces, irregular schedules, off‑shift/rotating shifts, and in varied environmental conditions (noise, lighting, ionizing radiation, non‑ionizing radiation). Must operate standard office equipment and work stationary approx. 50 % of the time. Must work well in team environments, demonstrate independence with minimal supervision.
• Background:
  May be required to complete a thorough medical, psychological exam, polygraph interview, and extensive background investigation.
• Testing:
  May be required to undergo occupational testing including aptitude, writing, personality, and interview assessments.
• Clearance:
  Requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Full Scope Polygraph.

Salary: $140,000 – $200,000.
