Position: Middle School Subject Generalist Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year
Location: Crownsville

Indian Creek School is an independent, co‑ed day school in which
600students aged 3 to Grade 12 partner with innovative teachers in an outstanding educational program. This is afull-time (40hours), 10-month position with occasional summer responsibilities, reporting to the Middle School Principal.

Requirements
  • Teach four sections of Middle School instruction focused on project-based learning.
  • Implement the Middle School History and Science curriculum in alignment with theICS Mission, Vision, and Statement of Diversity.
  • Work with the Middle School principal and the Middle School team to ensure a positive and engaging Middle School experience for students
  • Collaborate withthe Science and History department regularly to enhance curriculum andthe student experience.
  • Develop and deliver project-based learning experiences each quarter.
  • Use a variety of assessments to measure student understanding and drive instruction.

    Provide timely, constructive feedback on student assignments.
  • Serve as an academic advisor to a group of students.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Attend all divisional, departmental, and school faculty meetings,including professional development days.
  • Other duties such as lunch duty, carline duty, and chaperoning as assigned bythe

    Middle School Principal.
Qualifications
  • Desire to be actively engaged in the work of innovative teaching, diversity and inclusion, and ongoing professional growth
  • Expertise in Project-Based learning
  • Bachelor’s or Master’sDegree (Master’spreferred)
  • Educational philosophy aligns with the mission and vision of Indian Creek School
  • Resilient, mission-driven, and proactive in creating a supportive learning environment for students
  • Collaborative by nature, and an effective communicator with students, teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Federal and State Background Check clearance and MSDE Employment History review
Benefits & Compensation

Compensation for the role will depend ona numberof factors, including a candidate's years of experience at an educational institution and prior administrative experience and responsibilities.

Candidates will be offered a competitive salary and are exempt from overtime within the rangeof $58,500 to $98,520dependenton experience.

In addition to the annual salary, Indian Creek School offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as life insurance, criticalillnessand accident coverage, and both short- and long-term disability for the employee and their eligible dependents.

We offer a 403 (b) retirement plan with employer match to help youplan for the future. PTO includes vacation,sick, holiday, and parental/family leave.
