Position: Teacher, Substitute, Elementary (EX) (Current Opportunity) - School of the Incarnation, Gambrills MD
Location: Gambrills

School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates to become one of the team of our substitute teachers. The substitute teacher would be responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students within the school in the case of a teacher or instructional assistant absence.

Essential Functions

• Participate in the active supervision of students at all times
• Oversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacher
• Follow daily routine of teacher or IA and fill in for duties outside the classroom such as morning drop-off or pick-up as needed
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff and administration
• Maintain high professional and personal standards consistent with the mission of the school and the
• teachings of the Catholic Church
• Interact effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner

Position Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma, knowledge of child development and supervision preferred.
• Previous experience working with children
• CPR/First Aid certified preferred
• Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
• Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
