In this vital role, you will design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate play activities that foster growth in children with diverse developmental needs. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental levels to tailor play-based therapy plans effectively
  • Develop and implement individualized therapeutic activities that promote motor, cognitive, social, and emotional development through play
  • Engage children in interactive play sessions that encourage communication, problem-solving, and social skills
  • Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and reinforce developmental goals at home and in other settings
  • Monitor and document each child's progress regularly, adjusting therapy strategies as needed to maximize growth
  • Educate families on developmental milestones and provide guidance on supporting their child's development through everyday activities
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming environment that fosters trust and enthusiasm for learning through play
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and evidence-based play therapy techniques
  • Bachelor degree in human service field
  • Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with children, families, and team members
  • Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities tailored to individual needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude to motivate children during therapy sessions
  • Experience working with children with diverse developmental challenges is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
  • Certification or training in developmental therapy or related fields is a plus
