SEA Water Safety Instructor - Cove Point

Provide swimming instruction to the community in a safe and controlled environment.

• Prepares lesson plans.
• Prepares equipment to facilitate lessons.
• Provides swimming instruction to students enrolled in program.
• Maintains safety of participants.

Any acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted on a full-time year for year basis.

Licenses or Certificates:

Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certificate or equivalent.

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or have work permit.

Subject to background investigation.

Physical Demands:

Work requires medium to heavy physical effort.

Department of Parks and Recreation, Cove Point Pool

Pay rate: $20.38 per hour
