Under direction of the school principal, plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students. Provides an atmosphere conducive to intellectual, physical, social and emotional development to ensure success for every student. Supervises students in a variety of settings. Monitors and evaluates student outcomes. Communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff and community. Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet students’ needs.

Maintains records and follows procedures. Monitors use and care of equipment, materials and facilities. Physical demands: as required. Special requirements: attend meetings, programs and activities outside instructional day as mandated by the MCEA agreement.

• Knowledge of MCPS curriculum and effective instructional practices.
• Understanding of teaching/learning process and multicultural education.
• Ability to infuse technology into curriculum.
• Ability to work with administrators, colleagues, and community.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
• Knowledge and application of the six performance standards for TPGS and SSPGS.

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from accredited institution.
• Certification meeting Maryland state requirements in appropriate field.
