DC Metro Region - General Hematologist Oncologist

Overview

Med Star Health is seeking a general Hematology/Oncology Physician to be part of our one-location opportunity at Med Star Montgomery Medical Center, 18105 Prince Philip Dr., Olney, MD 20832. The center is CoC accredited with its own general and tumor boards and is an affiliate of Med Star Georgetown Cancer Institute, giving you access to Georgetown tumor boards. The dynamic candidate will practice in a major community affiliate of an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center based on clinical care in a network.

The practice at Med Star Montgomery focuses on bread-and-butter hematology/oncology with treatment of a wide variety of cancers and opportunities to grow programs in cancer survivorship, tobacco cessation and lung cancer screening.

Onsite services include, but are not limited to, radiation oncology, imaging (including PET), breast center, oncology nurse navigator, oncology social services, APP support, nutritionist, palliative team, oncology pharmacy, and research coordinator. • Provide general hematology/oncology patient care and treatment of a wide variety of cancers.
• Collaborate with onsite services and resources (radiation oncology, imaging, breast center, nurse navigator, social services, APP support, nutrition, palliative team, pharmacy, and research coordination).
• Engage with the Georgetown Lombardi clinical trial portfolio to present patients for appropriate studies when eligible.
