This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the oral health of individuals in the community. As a Dental Assistant in our office, you will work closely with our dental team to provide essential dental services to underserved populations.

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
• Take and develop dental x-rays as required
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations and treatments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop and implement community outreach programs
• Actively participate in community events and initiatives to promote oral health awareness
• Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset by identifying opportunities for program growth and improvement

• Maryland Dental Assisting license
• Experience working in a Medicaid office
• Strong passion for serving underserved communities and improving oral health outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficiency in dental software and digital imaging systems
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and dental office procedures
