Summary of Position:
The Guest Services Specialist is responsible for facilitating on-campus program registration processing and maintaining a professional atmosphere at LMC’s Greeter Station and across campus. This person will be the primary contact for program-related inquiries across departmental reservation emails and the campus operator for incoming calls to LMC.
Requirements:
Must be 16 years or olderMust fulfill a 4 hour shift a weekMust attend all training sessionsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of people.Friendly, approachable demeanor, fostering a welcoming environment for all guestsMaximize the number of quality guest interactions and communicate with multiple departments throughout the dayIncorporate timely feedback to volunteers and interns from guest comments, personal observations and to continually motivate staff/volunteers to improve the guest experienceOversee daily operational duties including daily meetings, customer service/recovery, crowd control at the entrance, trouble-shooting, conflict managementPromote LMC programs for higher levels of guest engagement: programs, VIP experiences, events, volunteer opportunities, etc.Adhere to all Loggerhead Marinelife Center policies, standards, and guidelinesAssist education team with program tasks as neededIf you are under 18 you MUST submit a point of contact for a parent or guardian to volunteer.
