Summary
We are seeking a Construction Estimator to join our rapidly growing construction and development firm. This role is responsible for developing cost estimates for residential and commercial projects typically valued between 500K–3M. A successful candidate must be able to read construction site plans, perform detailed take-offs, obtain material costs, negotiate with subcontractors, communicate and follow up with clients throughout the preconstruction process, and stay informed on current industry pricing.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, organized, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working independently with strong attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities- Receive bid requests and review project plans and specifications.
- Perform detailed take-offs using Square Takeoff and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Prepare itemized material and labor estimates based on project requirements.
- Input estimates into Buildertrend to create detailed proposals for clients.
- Develop clear scopes of work and project descriptions for proposals.
- Obtain material pricing and subcontractor quotes for specialized scopes of work.
- Update and maintain project cost codes accurately within Buildertrend.
- Communicate with suppliers to request pricing, check material availability, and confirm delivery timelines.
- Stay informed on current industry pricing trends to ensure competitive and accurate project estimates.
- Finalize and clean up proposals for client presentations.
- Release proposals to clients and conduct follow-ups to track acceptance and feedback.
- 3+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Strong understanding of civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, architectural drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Buildertrend, Square Takeoff, and Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
