Overview
Inspector II – Construction Management/Inspection for Transportation, La Vale, MD. Full-Time/Regular. This position is not eligible for employer based sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification.

Responsibilities- Apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities, in SHA District 6, during and after construction for structural quality, general safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes.
- Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.
- Perform routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials.
- Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes.
- Gather and maintain record documents.
- Make field notes and computations.
- Required Skills:
Computer proficiency; must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening. - Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience); 1-4 years of construction inspection experience; active driver's license. - Preferred Experience:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; client-requested certifications.
Work is performed in the field. Ability to bend, kneel, stand, shovel, and lift/carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

Pay range is $23-$35/hour. Salary range is based upon background, education, level of experience and project assignment.
