• you will review plans and designs to determine material costs and labor hour estimates
• you will compile detailed takeoffs for every project to establish order and bid sheets
• you will send and track bid requests to Trade Partners with all detail needed for accurate pricing to be returned
• you will compile bid and pricing data by established deadline to review with Management
• you will work with our team to improve the bidding and estimating process
• you will assemble detailed order sheets to work with all direct-buy initiatives
• you will take ownership of the up-front Pre-Construction work necessary to facilitate a smooth handoff from Office to Field
• other estimating and purchasing functions as needed
• Experience in a new homes purchasing role where you processed purchase orders, pricing negotiations, or similar
• Experience in new home project management where you have scheduled projects, deliveries, and trade partners and have taken a project from start through completion
