Field Laborer

• Perform physical construction including, but not limited to, digging ditches or trenches, back filling excavations, and compacting and leveling earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.
• Communicate with supervisors and foremen, providing verbal or written updates and following the construction plan sets.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Set final trench grades by hand digging or using trenching tools.
• Load, unload, identify, and distribute utility materials to the appropriate location according to project plans and specifications.
• Work in a ditch or trench with a trench box while following safety protocols.

• Reliable transportation to work sites and willingness to work full days.
• Ability to travel to different site locations.
• Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold.
• Safety conscious individual.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds – able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and have adequate vision and hearing (natural or corrected).
• Team oriented and works well with others.
