Position Summary

The Child Watch Team Member assists in daily child programs such as monitoring, safekeeping, and enforcing daily operations while providing excellent customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist children while they engage in group and individual sports activities
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Assist with morning drop-off and check-in as well as afternoon pick-up and sign-out
• Assist other counselors/coaches with any other duties as assigned by Child Watch Manager
• Maintain effective discipline and safety procedures during child activities
• Transport children to and from school
• All other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work with a wide variety of children, ages 7-12
• Flexible work schedule and regular attendance required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
• Respectful and friendly to athletes, guests, and team members
• Work well with others and take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility
• Ability to enter information on a computer

Working Conditions And Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
• Required to sit or stand for extended periods indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
• Identify problems or hazards and resolve or report to management
• Comply with safety and health code standards
• Facility has intermittent noise
• Able to run/walk as needed

Preferred

• CPR/First Aid Certified
• Camp experience
• Experience organizing youth activities
• Customer service and/or staff management experience

Salary: $15 - $18 per hour
