Sr. Payroll Accountant

We are partnering with a global digital media organization to hire a Senior Payroll Accountant to join their accounting team. Our client operates at the intersection of media, publishing, and technology, distributing award-winning content across major global platforms and reaching millions of consumers worldwide (backed by established private equity investors). They are seeking an experienced payroll professional who can take ownership of full-cycle payroll accounting within a multi-entity environment.

The Senior Payroll Accountant will manage full-cycle payroll processing, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and partners closely with HR and the broader accounting team.

• Manage bi-weekly payroll across multiple subsidiaries and states
• Process off-cycle payroll including terminations, bonuses, reimbursements, and corrections in Rippling
• Prepare and upload payroll journal entries into Net Suite with proper allocations
• Support month-end close and perform payroll-related reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with multi-state tax requirements and support annual audits
• Review and validate W-2 processing through Rippling
• Partner cross-functionally on payroll system updates and process improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong payroll experience in a multi-state, multi-entity environment
• Experience managing payroll for 200+ employees, both exempt and non-exempt
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance and filings
• Experience with Rippling and or ADP Workforce Now preferred
• Net Suite or similar ERP experience, including journal entries and reconciliations
