Location: Snow Hill

Royal Plus, a well-established and growing restoration and construction company, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to the Controller to support our accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for career-minded professionals interested in learning and contributing to proven, successful back-office accounting processes within a stable, recession-resistant organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Controller with all aspects of financial management and reporting
  • Oversee daily accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll
  • Manage monthly and year-end close processes
  • Track job costing and analyze project profitability across multiple projects
  • Prepare internal financial reports and assist with external audit preparation
  • Assist with collections efforts
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure budgets, billing, and expenses align with job costing objectives
  • Maintain internal controls and assist with driving process improvements
  • Manage and support assigned accounting and administrative clerks, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
