Tax Preparer

Location: Hunt Valley

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This role focuses on processing estate taxes and individual tax returns with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and familiarity with Pro Series software.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and process estate tax returns, including 1041s and 504s, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Handle individual tax returns with a thorough understanding of applicable regulations.

- Utilize Pro Series software effectively to manage tax preparation tasks.

- Review and verify tax documents for completeness and correctness before submission.

- Collaborate with team members to address overflow tax returns and meet deadlines.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and estate tax regulations.

- Provide exceptional service to clients, addressing their tax-related inquiries promptly.

- Ensure all tax filings meet established guidelines and deadlines.

- Identify and resolve discrepancies in tax documents.

- Support other tax-related tasks as needed during peak periods. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, including estate and individual tax returns.

- Proficiency in using Pro Series software for tax processing.

- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards.

- Demonstrated ability to handle high volumes of tax returns during busy periods.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
