The Outpatient Surgery unit has a family atmosphere. Several nurses have been with us for 15 years or more, providing abundant training and mentorship. Our multidisciplinary teamwork focuses on safe, quality, and compassionate care close to home.

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Perform timely documentation of medical necessity in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.

Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.

• AHA Basic Life Support certification is required.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
