• Collaborate with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
• Design, deliver, and assess learning activities and curricula related to clinical competencies, policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.
• Serve as a consultant/mentor for staff in program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
• Participate in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.
• Assist in development and implementation of educational programs/learning aids for clinical and non‑clinical associates.
• Plan, coordinate, organize, implement, and evaluate orientation programs, continuing education, and in‑services that enhance associate job performance.
• Keep appropriate educational records and maintain AV equipment, books, and supplies.
• Prepare schedules for educational in‑services and coordinate with presenters and relevant departments.
• Conduct and assist with orientation, in‑services, continuing education, or workshops; meet requirements for providing contact hours.
• Maintain documentation for educational in‑services and associates’ educational activities.

• Current VA RN (or compact state) license.
• Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.
• Master’s degree or currently enrolled in a Master’s in Nursing program.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• One (1) year of formal/informal teaching experience (preferred).
• One (1) year of management experience (preferred).
