Role

As a Clinical Director
, you will ensure the implementation of the clinical programming including supervision for all licensed and unlicensed clinical teammates. You will look for ways to improve and promote clinical quality and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. You will display willingness to make decisions, exhibit sound and accurate judgment, and make timely decisions in representation of the clinical team and maintain competency and ability to perform any clinical service of the program and perform patient care as needed.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Current and unrestricted professional clinical license in state of employment.
  • Three (3) years of progressive clinical counseling experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • In-depth understanding of co-occurring mental health disorders and their appropriate treatment/intervention.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and monitor the activities of others with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Current CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) Certification.
  • Must possess a current valid driver’s license in good standing in state of employment and be insurable by the designated carrier. This role is required to drive for company purposes.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.
Preferred
  • Five (5) years of progressive clinical counseling experience in a behavioral health setting.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, and retention of new teammates.
  • Provide supervision (including group and individual clinical supervision), guidance, and direction in daily operations and training to Counselors, setting performance standards, and monitoring performance.
  • Complete 90-day and annual performance reviews for all counselors with goals for continual improvement.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and a cohesive work environment for all teammates.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies regarding resources and services for improved client/patient care and staff development.
  • Ensure all clinical teammates provide services ethically and efficiently within federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate assignments concerning intake assessment, individual and group counseling, and educational programs.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions as needed.
  • Perform all necessary quality assurance activities to ensure the documentation of all performed services meets the expectations of the company and all regulatory and accrediting bodies.
  • Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure and uphold the confidentiality requirements of all client/patient information and manage all daily tasks and activities consistent with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability), the 42 CFR part 2, and state and federal laws and regulations regarding confidentiality and security.
  • Investigate concerns and complaints regarding teammates, analyze information and evaluate results to bring resolution to the concern or complaint.
  • Be present and engaged in meetings and required training opportunities.
  • Attend team meetings and complete all training courses timely as required.
  • Attend ongoing training per program/Federal/ State requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
