Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Every other weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday nights)

• Must be willing to help with upcoming holidays and start before Christmas

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 for both day and night shifts

• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)

• BSN not required, first-time travelers accepted

• Work with telemetry patients including elevated troponin, active chest pain, pre/post cardiac catheterization, NSTEMI, STEMI post-ICU recovery, pacemaker patients, and occasional post-surgical cases

• Manage set-rate drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Integrilin, and Nitroglycerin

• Use EPIC electronic medical record system with Phillips cardiac monitors

• Read and document telemetry strips every 4 hours

• 1-2 day floor-specific orientation based on experience

• Dress code:
Navy blue scrubs with navy or white jacket, white or navy undershirt, natural hair colors only, distasteful tattoos must be covered

• Minimal floating requirements (rarely to ICU overflow, telemetry, or Ortho/Med Surg)

• Opportunities available for precepting, charge nurse duties, and overtime

The facility operates two telemetry floors with a total of 42 beds, utilizing Phillips cardiac monitoring systems integrated with EPIC documentation. The organization provides 24/7 hospitalist coverage, in-house respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services. Future expansion plans include converting one floor to a step-down unit with higher acuity capabilities, demonstrating the facility's commitment to advancing patient care services.
