Supervisory Management Analyst; Branch Chief

Overview

This position is located under the Office of Intelligence Operations, Operational Intelligence Division, Denial Enforcement & NICS Intelligence Branch in Martinsburg, WV. The purpose of this position is to provide a central point of control and continuity for the management of all ISOS employees, procedures, and analytic studies related to the sale of firearms to ATF and other Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies.

To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience that equips the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.

Specialized experience must include all of:

• Providing analytic support related to sale of firearms to ATF and other Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies; AND
• Providing leadership or leading a team; AND
• Reviewing and analyzing firearms denials and referring denials to field divisions for investigation; AND
• Communicating orally and writing to prepare and defend policy papers, reports, and make presentations to management; AND
• Interpreting, analyzing firearms laws governing law enforcement regulations providing recommendations.
