Waste Xperts by Ally Waste
, an on‑site waste and recycling facilitator, is seeking a Waste Tech to join our team in Martinez, CA.
A Waste Tech drives our company's pick‑up trucks and other non‑CDL vehicles and equipment. We're looking for candidates who take pride in hard work, are a team player, and make a difference in our community.

Responsibilities- Operate company vehicles to complete scheduled daily routes.
- Practice defensive driving, adhering to all traffic laws, signals, and markings with consideration for the safety of other drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
- Sort trash, recycling, and compostable materials on‑site, adhering to established guidelines.
- Manually compact and redistribute the material in bins to optimize space and efficiency.
- Sweep and maintain trash enclosures, trash rooms, and trash chutes.
- Responsibly utilize equipment and tools to complete work assignments (such as cell phones, waste caddies, tow hitches, compactors, step ladders, etc.).
- Haul bulky items off‑site, including furniture, equipment, mattresses, etc.
- Identify and safely handle hazardous materials as trained.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel‑toe and puncture‑resistant boots.
- Efficiently complete scheduled routes with attention to start and completion times.
- Document services performed by taking before and after photos as per company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the team, management, and relevant departments to report and resolve any issues and ensure service levels and operations are meeting company standards.
- Submit all required paperwork and reports.
- Report accidents and incidents immediately to the appropriate personnel, following company procedures.
- Participate in weekly truck inspections and report any equipment issues promptly.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with property managers, maintenance teams, and residents.
- Assist with additional duties as needed.
- Full Time
- Start:
Monday‑Friday at 3:30 AM - Overtime may be required
- Pay $21.00–$25.00 hr. (Depending on experience)
Physical Requirements
- Drivers must have a valid driver’s license (non‑CDL) and a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years or more than 2 minor violations, including a handheld device in the previous 3 years).
- Must have two consecutive years of driving in the USA.
- Frequently lift items weighing 50–80 lbs.
- Push/maneuver dumpsters and compactors weighing more than 500 lbs.
- Stepping in/out of waste containers safely with the use of a ladder.
- Work independently to complete daily assignments.
- Work well with others in a team environment.
