Role:
Business Systems Manager Non-Clinical Systems Implementation (Healthcare).
Location:
Martinez, CA (Hybrid 50% Onsite Required). Duration: 6+ Months (Contract-to-Hire).
The Client is seeking an experienced Systems Manager with strong implementation expertise in non-clinical healthcare systems, with a primary focus on system implementation and operational governance. This role will provide both strategic and hands‑on leadership in implementing, managing, and optimizing enterprise non‑clinical systems that support healthcare administrative and operational functions. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience overseeing system implementations, managing cross‑functional analysts, driving documentation governance, and ensuring operational excellence within a healthcare environment.
HealthcareIndustry Experience Is Required
Healthcare industry experience is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end‑to‑end implementation of non‑clinical enterprise systems, including Service Now.
- Oversee system selection, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live optimization.
- Drive implementation roadmaps, timelines, milestones, and stakeholder coordination.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and system capabilities.
- Service Now Implementation & Governance (Highly Preferred)
- Lead or manage Service Now implementation initiatives (ITSM, workflow automation, case management, etc.).
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to design scalable workflows.
- Establish governance frameworks, change management processes, and system controls.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in platform configuration and documentation.
- Team Oversight & Documentation Management
- Oversee analysts and technical staff supporting system implementation and ongoing operations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight to cross‑functional teams.
- Serve as documentation lead to ensure:
- Functional and technical documentation
- Process workflows and SOPs
- System configuration records
- Compliance and audit readiness documentation
- Operational & Strategic Leadership
- Manage ongoing system operations to ensure reliability, stability, and service quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise systems.
- Support CIO‑level strategic planning related to non‑clinical enterprise applications.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory and operational standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 4+ years of management experience within a healthcare IT environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading implementation of non‑clinical systems.
- Proven Service Now implementation experience (hands‑on or leadership level).
- Experience managing analysts and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong documentation governance and operational oversight experience.
- Healthcare industry experience is mandatory.
- Experience in public sector or county healthcare environments.
- Certifications such as:
- Service Now (CSA, CIS, or related)
- PMP, ITIL, or equivalent
- Epic certification in non‑clinical modules (e.g., Prelude, Cadence, Resolute, or other administrative/operational modules) is a strong plus.
- Experience implementing enterprise administrative systems (HR, Finance, Case Management, ITSM).
- Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
