Business Systems Manager – Non-Clinical Systems Implementation (Healthcare)
Duration: 6+ Months (Contract-to-Hire)
Overview: We are seeking a Business Systems Manager to lead the 6 to 12 months execution and stabilization of newly contracted enterprise platforms while strengthening governance and support models for existing systems. This role will oversee implementation of key vendor solutions (UKG, Service Now, Tyler Tech) and ensure they are successfully delivered, adopted, and operationalized across the organization. In parallel, the manager will establish a sustainable long-term support and ownership model for existing platforms such as Hyland/OnBase, aligning internal resources and vendor services to ensure reliability, accountability, and scalability.

Primary 12‑Month Outcome: Deliver successful implementation and operational transition of UKG, Service Now, and Tyler Tech while maturing governance, prioritization, and ownership structures across enterprise business systems.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end‑to‑end implementation of UKG, Service Now, and Tyler Tech platforms.
- Coordinate project execution, timelines, and milestones across vendors, IT, and business teams.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and system configurations.
- Drive adoption, readiness, and post‑go‑live stabilization activities.
- Act as the primary liaison with system vendors to manage performance, communication, and escalation.
- Ensure vendor deliverables meet contractual expectations and operational needs.
- Guide internal teams through implementation, transition, and knowledge transfer.
- Develop a long‑term support model for Hyland/OnBase and other legacy systems.
- Define ownership between internal resources and vendor partners.
- Establish processes for maintenance, enhancements, and lifecycle management.
- Utilize existing governance forums (Agile processes, IT Steering Committees, stakeholder engagement channels) to prioritize enhancements and initiatives.
- Clarify cross‑department data ownership, accountability, and decision pathways.
- Introduce greater transparency in intake, prioritization, and delivery tracking.
- Lead and mentor analysts and functional teams supporting system implementation and operations.
- Build internal capability to sustain platforms beyond implementation phase.
- Promote standardized documentation, SOPs, and operational knowledge transfer.
- Ensure enterprise systems support organizational administrative and operational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement across platforms, workflows, and integrations.
- Provide leadership updates on progress, risks, and system performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- 4+ years of management or project leadership experience in healthcare IT or enterprise systems environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise system implementations and vendor coordination.
- Strong background in operational governance, stakeholder alignment, and process improvement.
- Experience managing cross‑functional teams and balancing implementation with ongoing operations.
- Healthcare industry experience required.
- Experience implementing or supporting:
- Service Now (ITSM/workflow platforms)
- UKG (HRIS/payroll/workforce systems)
- Tyler Tech (public sector ERP/financial systems)
- Experience in public sector or county healthcare environments.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or similar.
- Experience formalizing governance models, intake processes, and system ownership frameworks.
