Business Systems Manager

W2 Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $70 - $80 per hour

Location: Martinez, CA - Hybrid Role

Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Business Systems Manager to oversee the implementation and support of key business IT systems. The IT Business Systems Manager will be responsible for the implementation of critical business systems like Staff Scheduling and Time Keeping (UKG), ITSM (Service Now), and Environmental Health Inspection (Tyler Technologies). In addition, the IT Business Systems Manager will lead the team for ongoing support for existing business systems, like the Document Management System (OnBase).

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of analysts responsible for business requirements collection, vendor selection, system implementation, and ongoing application support.
  • Responsible for project planning and implementation. Utilize IT organizational tools and processes for project management.
  • Coordinate with operational leads, clinical leadership, Change Management, Business Intelligence, and other IT teams for system implementation and support.
  • Track performance metrics for application support.
  • Facilitate progress reporting and executive updates.
  • Coordinate project meetings, including setting the meeting agenda, notes, and action items.
  • Monitor project impact, track, and report results on clinical quality and patient experience metrics.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Principles of healthcare administration and health plan operations.
  • Principles of leadership, management, supervision, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Budget development and management.
  • Operations, services, and activities of the information technology support and analysis program in a health care environment.
  • Detailed understanding of information systems design, implementation, and management strategies.
  • Methods and techniques used to develop, test, and implement systems.
  • Project and change management.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Social/Behavioral Sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Supervise, organize, and review the work of subordinate professional and technical personnel.
  • Select, supervise, train, and evaluate staff.
  • Analyze business requirements, design, and implement appropriate system solutions.
  • Respond to escalated requests and inquiries from system users.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Provide and promote excellence in customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Acknowledge and respect the cultural and linguistic differences of the County's diverse population.
