Position: Electromechanical Technology Adjunct Instructor (TEMPORARY)

Overview

Electromechanical Technology Adjunct Instructor (TEMPORARY). This is an adjunct teaching position for the ETEC department (Electrical/Instrumentation).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Adjunct Faculty duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules;
  • creating and maintaining an environment which emphasizes learning, encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking;
  • evaluating progress of students concerning educational matters and grades student work;
  • meeting with students outside of class;
  • maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics;
  • maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter areas;
  • fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member;
  • maintaining accurate academic records;
  • performing other related duties as assigned.

Education : (1) Any bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience, or (2) any associate degree AND six years of professional experience.

Qualifications and Desirable Qualifications

Understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, staff and faculty.

Salary and Benefits

Adjunct instructor classroom faculty pay rate is $77.87-$128.97 per hour (up to $151.16). Other pay scales apply for full-time tracks not applicable to this position. Benefits information includes:
