School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional

Join a supportive, mission-driven team at Building Connections Academy (a special education nonpublic school with locations in Concord and Martinez, CA), where we help students grow, learn, and build independence.

• Hours: In-person, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am – 2:30 pm.
• Pay: $22–$28/hr (based on experience, certification, and education).
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included!).

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.

• Provide behavioral and educational support in a school setting.
• Implement individualized programs and collect data to track progress.

• Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.

• Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
• RBT certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in related field preferred).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Required immunizations including MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B, and TB clearance (within 4 years).
