We are seeking a professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team in a public healthcare setting. This is an observe and report position focused on maintaining a safe, secure, and respectful environment for staff, residents, and visitors.

Due to the nature of the setting, the selected candidate must consistently demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, courtesy, and discretion
, along with strong de‑escalation skills when situations arise.

• Conduct internal facility rounds every hour, and more frequently as needed
• Monitor the premises to ensure the safety and security of staff, residents, and visitors
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity
• Provide verbal support and presence when staff request assistance
• Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports
• Respond calmly and professionally to situations requiring de‑escalation
• Uphold facility policies and security procedures at all times

• Ability to pass a statewide and nationwide criminal background check, including sex offender registry check
• Ability to pass a drug screening upon hire
• Must be eligible to obtain a Private Security Person License through the State of Wisconsin
• No felony convictions, in accordance with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high‑stress situations
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability.

• Prior law enforcement experience
• Military background
• Previous security experience
• Experience working in healthcare, public service, or high-interaction environments

This position is located in a public healthcare facility. Officers must be comfortable working around vulnerable populations and interacting respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Professional conduct, empathy, and strong communication skills are essential.
