Job Title:

Registered Nurse - Acute - Float Pool, Critical Care (Straight Weekend) Cost Center:  Mfd Hos-Nursing Float Pool

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus up to $25,000.

The Registered Nurse Acute Critical Care Float performs RN duties in multiple departments as assigned on a routine “fill-in” basis, and functions as a vital member of the healthcare team by demonstrating a customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism and self-development, and teamwork. The individual utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families.

The Registered Nurse is expected to demonstrate excellent clinical, problem-solving, interpersonal and leadership skills and make decisions consistent with hospital policies, department protocols/guidelines, and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act.

This position will work 36 hours every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Variable shifts to include both days and nights.

Education

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum

Required:

Diploma or degree in nursing.

Preferred/Optional: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Experience

Minimum

Required:

None

Preferred/Optional: Two years hospital nursing experience, specific to consortium.

Certifications/Licenses

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum

Required:

• Current unrestricted State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within one month of employment.
• Additional Consortium-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required.

Preferred/Optional:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
