Wilsonart is seeking a Warehouse Assistant for our new location in Abbotsville, Greater Vancouver area. Candidates must reside within daily commuting distance to the location or be willing to relocate. The role involves replenishing finished goods inventory with material from manufacturing facilities, filling customer orders, inspecting material, packing for shipment, and performing other warehouse tasks as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Receive all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors.
- Check and place materials in the correct bin.
- Check material against the manifest and report discrepancies.
- Inform supervisor and photograph all defective materials.
- Cut down over‑sized laminate to fill pending orders.
- Read, interpret, process, and pack orders.
- Perform total skid count for loads.
- Adhere to all established safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist the needs of the customer.
- Ability to learn computer systems sufficient to check inventories.
- Ability to learn material inventory processes.
- Ability to learn packing techniques.
- Ability to learn proper material handling techniques.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to drive a lift truck.
- Ability to read and understand customer orders.
- Ability to operate a saw.
- Ability to enter data at an acceptable speed.
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience1+ year relevant warehouse experience.
Physical DemandsPerforming tasks with team members that include lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. Frequent walking and standing throughout the day are also required.
EnvironmentLocated in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises that may cause discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness (examples: engineering, waste management, laundry workers, yards/grounds staff).
CompensationHourly wage range: $18–$23 per hour, DOE.
