Provide supervision in the production areas, ensuring safety procedures are adhered to and maintaining high standards in product quality while keeping the plant clean and sanitary.
Essential Functions- Responsible for dryer safety and performance, monitoring dryer condition and determining when cleaning of dryer is necessary for safety reasons.
- Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
- Assists in maintaining production records in each work area.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Supervises production in the mixing, drying and packaging areas to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Assists in supervision of shipping and receiving and dry blending production.
- Assigns and monitors production tasks of crew members to ensure production rate and online test standards are met or exceeded.
- Records production activities and results on the online computer for every shop floor.
- Assists in maintaining employee time records (call‑in reports, short notice time‑off requests, etc.).
- Assists in instructing employee owners in safety programs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and HACCP Program, ensuring they are carried out for food safety of all employee owners and overall compliance.
- Reports maintenance issues to the maintenance department and ensures follow‑up, keeping equipment in top working order.
- Works with QA team members and production crew to ensure product quality and that all online test procedures and SOP’s are followed.
- Monitors, audits and maintains plant sanitation and associated practices.
- Ensures all cleaning procedures are followed and keeps crew members up to date on chemical safety and personal protective practices.
- Works with crew members on product development and operation improvement to meet customer expectations and specifications.
- Assists in investigating policy violations and carrying out disciplinary action according to company handbook.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
- Assists in analyzing and resolving work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Co‑ordinates activities with other supervisors.
- Sets up machines and equipment.
- Performs activities of production lines.
- Assists with maintenance duties on production lines.
- Directly supervises four crew members.
- Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including assisting in interviewing, hiring, and training.

- High school education; 6 months of industrial experience required.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
