The Health Service Coordinator (HSC) provides general clinical, clerical, and technical support to nurses in IQIPS, to include Nurse Line, Care Management, Community Health Access, and Patient Care departments. The HSC role requires telephonic interpersonal skills characterized by clear communication in an empathetic and professional manner. The position requires the ability to make decisions consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s policy/departmental protocol, with strict observance of patient confidentiality.

Required:

Preferred/Optional:
Completion of a Medical Terminology course. Graduate of a Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Office Specialist, or Medical Secretary program. Education beyond high school must be from an accredited institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated keyboard, computer, and telephone proficiency.
Preferred/Optional: Six months previous experience in a healthcare facility to include direct patient contact or previous customer service experience.
Certifications/LicensesThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
