The Surgical Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients, working collaboratively with Board Certified Urologists. The Surgical Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner works within a cooperative unit of four established APP colleagues, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.

Perform clinic procedures with ability to assist in surgeries and develop robotic skills. Candidates interested in Pediatrics will have the opportunity to be mentored within the department. New candidates will be onboarded through an extended training process to help affirm and expand the skillsets necessary for Urology.

In this role, you will join the largest urology group within MCHS along with a possibility of a flexible schedule of 4-10hr days should you wish. Rotating call will be 1:5.

• Assist in surgical procedures and develop robotic skills.
• Provide clinic procedures and patient interaction within a collaborative team.
• Participate in extended onboarding training to expand urology skillsets.

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• One year in specialty preferred.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants.
• Current Applicable State Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Licensure.
• Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
• Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
• Affiliated staff privileges at associated hospital may be required (varies by department/location).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
