Patient Care Assistant - Behavioral Health

JOB SUMMARY

The Patient Care Assistant completes patient care and Appointment Coordinator functions in addition to assisting a designated area with setting goals and ensuring best practice. This individual may assist with referral dispositions to ensure provider referrals are handled appropriately. The Patient Care Assistant will provide day-to-day coordination of a specific area to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the operational functions of the area.

• Preferred/Optional: Diploma or Associate degree in a health care related field.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Keyboard, computer, and telephone proficiency.
• Preferred/Optional: Experience with customer service in a health care related field.

  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire.
• Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
